Plastic Injection Mould Design and Manufacturing Process
HA NOI MOULD TECHNOLOGY COMPANY LIMITED (HANOI MOULD) manages each tooling project through defined stages: technical-data review, DFM, mould design, component machining, assembly, mould trials, correction and handover. The inspection scope and acceptance criteria are agreed for the specific part and project.
1. Product-data review and DFM
The engineering review starts with the available 2D drawings, 3D data, resin, wall thickness, surface requirements, critical dimensions, expected volume and part function. DFM observations identify items that should be clarified before the mould concept is approved.

2. Mould concept and structure design
After the technical direction is agreed, the mould structure is developed for the cavity, core, inserts, sliders, lifters, cooling, venting, runner, gate and ejection system. Component references and the operating location are reviewed as part of the project requirements.
3. Process planning and component machining
The approved design is converted into a machining and inspection plan for each component. CNC machining, EDM, wire cutting, grinding and finishing are arranged according to the component material, geometry and agreed inspection requirements.

4. Assembly and mechanism checks
The machined components are cleaned, assembled and adjusted. Before the mould trial, the project team checks the mechanism movement, cooling and venting circuits, runner and gate, ejection system and other agreed functional items.
5. Mould trial, part inspection and correction
The mould is tested under conditions suitable for the agreed resin and part. Trial parts are reviewed for filling, appearance, critical dimensions, assembly and functional requirements. Required corrections are recorded, completed and checked again.

6. Approval, packing and handover
After the agreed sample and acceptance items are confirmed, the mould is cleaned, protected and packed for the confirmed delivery method. The handover information is prepared according to the scope agreed with the customer.
