Injection Mould RFQ Data Checklist

HA NOI MOULD TECHNOLOGY COMPANY LIMITED (HANOI MOULD) needs product data and project requirements to review the mould concept, manufacturing scope, trials, inspection and handover. Clear input data reduces technical assumptions and helps align the quotation with the work that the project actually requires.

Data checklist for technical review

  1. Product drawings and data: provide available 2D drawings, 3D data or a physical sample, and identify the document revision in use.
  2. Resin material: state the resin type or grade if defined, together with colour, additives or use conditions when relevant.
  3. Expected quantity: share the estimated quantity per batch or period so the project context can be reviewed.
  4. Critical requirements: mark important dimensions, fit conditions, operating requirements and product acceptance criteria.
  5. Surface and appearance: identify areas where weld lines, shrinkage, warpage, flash, colour, gloss, texture or other appearance requirements matter.
  6. Mould requirements: provide cavity count, runner preference, ejection or movement requirements, specified standard components and the intended injection machine when already defined.
  7. Trials, inspection and documents: agree the sample quantity, inspection scope, trial conditions and required handover documents.
  8. Schedule and destination: provide the target timing, installation or delivery destination and technical approval contact.

If the data is incomplete

Customers may send the information currently available. HANOI MOULD can list the missing items and assumptions that need confirmation before the technical scope is fixed. A quotation should follow after the main factors affecting the project have been clarified.

Review process before quotation

  1. Check the drawing revision, 3D data and material information.
  2. Review DFM points, the proposed mould concept and risks requiring discussion.
  3. Confirm the scope for manufacturing, trials, inspection, correction and handover.
  4. Prepare the technical proposal and quotation against the confirmed scope.

Frequently asked questions

Can a review start from a physical sample?

A discussion can start from a sample, but the material, critical dimensions, expected quantity, use conditions and acceptance criteria still need to be clarified before a formal scope is prepared.

Are both 2D drawings and 3D data required?

3D data supports geometry review, while 2D drawings define dimensions, tolerances and technical notes. When both are provided, they should use the same revision.

When can a quotation be prepared?

A quotation can be prepared after the input data, mould scope, trial conditions, inspection requirements, handover documents and project schedule are sufficiently clear to limit assumptions.
