Fix Half and Moving Half of Injection Mould – Precision Engineering

In an injection mould, the tool is divided into two main parts: the Fix Half and Moving Half of injection Mould, both halves are designed and machined with high precision to ensure accurate alignment, smooth ejection, and consistent product quality throughout the entire production life of the mould.

1. Fix Half (Stationary Half)

The Fix Half is attached to the fixed platen of the injection machine. It usually contains the sprue bush, runner system, and cavity inserts. Hanoi Mould ensures the fixed half is built with the correct steel hardness, thermal balance, and cooling design for efficient molding cycles.

2. Moving Half (Cavity or Core Side)

3. Material and Precision

Hanoi Mould uses certified tool steels such as P20, H13, 718H, and S136. With CNC machining, EDM, and CMM inspection, both halves are guaranteed to achieve tolerance levels within ±0.005 mm. Proper fitting between the fix and moving halves ensures no flash, minimal wear, and extended mold life up to 1,000,000 shots.

4. Quality Assurance

Each injection mould is fully assembled, tested, and inspected before shipment. The contact surfaces between both halves are polished and checked for sealing accuracy and injection pressure resistance.
